WOO-HOO!!!

At last -- SNOW! It’s Boxing Day & we finally woke up to SNOW. Here I am crossing the bridge from our building to the mountain...one of my doggie neighbours got out there first.

My Christmas

I started my Christmas Day with a good snifferoo of all my Christmas cards. The Dog Mother kindly laid them out on the carpet so that I could visit each & every one. As I sniffed each card, I wished my friends a Merry Christmas & lots of good stuff coming your way -- all day long.

Later, we went to visit our friends for Christmas dinner. Rudy the doorman called to book a taxi & mentioned that passengers would include a small well-behaved dog who would sit on her lap. When the taxi arrived, the driver took one look at me & said "That’s no lap dog!"

The Dog Mother said "He’s sitting on my lap, isn’t he?"

Well then, Mr Taxi Driver (who turned out to be from South America) admitted that he loved dogs. So I just leapt into the front seat & covered him with doggie kisses while mom told him about my Brazilian cousins!

My Sixth!

Just came in from taking my birthday toy for a walk. It is a fuzzy yellow duck that sings Old Macdonald Had A Farm...with a Quack!Quack! here & a Quack!Quack! there...and it is still alive, unlike the fluffy dog that barked Christmas carols last year. I also got a new water dish that is black & covered with red hearts to replace the $60 handpainted-with-hearts bowl that mom kept kicking until the rim was chipped all the way ’round. The Dog Mother has a thing for hearts...and clumsy feets.

Yummiest of all, I got a nice big piggy ear. What a treat! It has to be a big occasion for me to get one of those -- and I pay no attention at all when mom tells me that somewhere there is a little pig chewing on a puppy dog ear.

Best, best, best of all...I got lots of birthday congrats from my doggie friends. THEY didn’t forget!

PS -- I am sure that there was lots of other stuff in that bag but seems that I have to wait for Christmas to find out WHAT IS IN THE BAG!!!

Call THIS a White Christmas?

Today...

Mom dragged me out early this AM to get some snow pix. It is actually just a light dusting & Mom says it will be gone by noon. This in Montreal, the Snow Capital of the world! Last year at this time, we had 41 cm. of snow in just ONE day. I love to frolic in the snow & race up that path you can see in the picture to Beaver Lake & see the skaters. What is going on???

Here is how it looked last year...

PS - hehe!just kidding...I do the morning drag.

Today I am SIX!

I will be doing a little celebrating...

It’s my birthday! Can you believe that the Dog Mother forgot? Luckily, she got a reminder this morning, so I am happily anticipating LOTS of goodies coming my way tonight. Now...if I can just get her out the door to do a little Dean-O-shopping.

I am IT ':¬}

Gus has tagged me! Now, what do I want & not want for Christmas???

Well..
I WANT
1. How about some snow? Last year at this time, we were buried in the white stuff. All we’ve got this year is rain & rain makes mud & guess what happens to a muddy dog? See #1 below.
2. More toys. A wire can never have enough toys. I admit that I am toy-obsessed. There must be lots of toys out there that I do not possess. Yet!
3. A dean-o-saur bone for the Dean-O!

I do NOT want...
1. Daily dips in the tub. Please...
2. The dreaded Brush. I think that I look wickedly handsome ’au naturel’.
4. To miss a thing...take me everywhere!!!

And now I am Christmas TAGGING...

T-Man the fashion poodle, Cyrus the pampered bulldog, Belle Puppy Pom, Minou the cute chihuahua with the kitty name & Bogie Bytes my fellow wire.

The Rules: The player of this game starts with "3 things he/ she would love to get for Christmas" and also has to list "3 things he/ she definitely does not want to get for Christmas". Then he/she tags 5 friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. And the one who tags need to leave a comment that says "you've been Christmas tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Busy, busy, busy...

Been so busy licking envelopes, haven’t had much time to post but WOOF! it is so exciting -- every day the mailman is bringing me envelopes that smell VERY interesting! I am getting more mail than anyone. (So glad that we finally mailed off the last batch of my cards ':¬}

Back to blogging soon...

Check out The New Yorker 2007 calendar cover -- dogs in conversation. One is saying: ’I had my own blog for a while, but I decided to go back to just pointless incessant barking.’
